Spent some time deliberating on the NTX3 and the NTX5 and was lucky enough to be able to try both extensively. I appreciate there is quite a price difference and build quality wise , I would say there isn't much in it ( 5 made in Japan ,3 made in China ) - though I did read somewhere that the 5 is made in China and finished in Japan ( Whatever that means ) .However to my ears , the European Spruce top combined with the with bone nut and saddle on the 5 has a very noticeably superior tone in the 5 compared to the Sitka Spruce and "plastic" nut and saddle in the lower models. The 3 is a good guitar however if you have the cash ,I would get the "5". It is a true quality instrument packed with resonance and ideal for electric / steel string players seeking to add a Nylon string to their stable.

Do you think the SC 13E adjustable neck would stand up to baritone tuning (BEADF#B) and, if so, with what gauge 6th string? And what pickup?

I've got the guitar and I hate the pickup, I have a alhambra 3c cw e1 and thag one has only bridge pickup but sounds 10 times better plugged in

The gibson just has the slight extra bite to it .but the eastman is still brilliant .but the gibson is better but only by a fraction

Excellent comparison and playing. To my ears, the J-45 sounds better.... in that I like the more balanced, less sparkly/bright tone a bit more. That said, I think I'm gonna purchase an E10SS in the next few days -- for the price difference, it's an excellent deal. They both sound fantastic. Thanks for the upload!

Already try both of them in studio, will pick Sheeran s3 with dynamic produced sound. But you need to choose several strings before you find the correct one for your own music preferences. We already try D'addario / Martin / Ernieball / Elixir and recommend for Ernieball full phospor (80/20 for slight below recommendation). hope it helps!

Extraordinary demo there ▲ very hard if not impossible to choose the best sounding dread, but I'm sure I could if playing them live-in-the-lap. In that situation one would hear the sound-nuances clearer, , , and not least FEEL the different sonic responses. Vibes have a huge role when it comes the scalloped vs non-scalloped - I'm (almost) sure you agree. And would more than like to know your personal impressions. Keep the spirit spinnin' ~ Hi

Eastmam is a quality guitar. These guitars are not made by run of the mill chinese labors. Those Chinese luthiers pay attention to details and hand build like American luthiers used to. I had my doubts until i seen how they are constructed. I have watched many comparisons video's before buying my e20 mr tc. When it comes to quality, tone and price Eastmam is the best. Unless you have $10,000 to get a better soind.

I love mine with the factory monel strings. It just has its own vibe and sound.

Prefer the Larivee in this comparison. More euphonic, more depth and less brittle than the Martin.

I own and play a Martin HD28 with LR Baggs Anthem pickup for 2 years now. Any difference in sound is that the D28 has more treble highs. Coming from owning and playing an OM28V for 18 years I was looking for more bass response, and I got it from my HD28. Am still not sure if I have the right Martin for me yet. The 00028 would have been a better sound for me than the OM28V after listening to recent demo's.

I think this is the best sounding, small body acoustic under $2K that i’ve heard or played. Not for a heavy handed player, but Thys is the prefect person to demo this guitar. I cannot believe how good it sounds strummed. If you can get your hands on one of these you should. It has been haunting me since I played one about a month ago. Also played the FS3, and it is absolutely the most stunning guitar sub $1K I’ve ever heard or played.

I own a Taylor GS Mini KOA, one of the best decision I ever made.

There are many cars made that are more reliable than a Ferrari, cheaper to run, maintain etc...... but its not a Ferrari. When you buy a Gibson it's the same thing , you're not just buying a guitar you're buying it's heritage and the privilege to say "I play a Gibson.' The eastman is a splendid guitar for the money it really is. But I choose Gibson every time and happy to pay the extra money to do so. Gibson is the Ferrari of guitars and Eastman are The Kia of cars. How many people to you know dream of driving a Kia?

I REALLY want a Martin OOO-15sm. In fact it will likely be my next acoustic purchase. A year or so away, but still... ETA: Thank you for the demo guys!

I love how the SR2 system sounds sonically, but there's just such a high noise floor. It's the only reason I haven't purchased an A series yet.

The d35 is so clean clear and loud, but i think its harder to Play

As an audiophile, I can here the nuance differences that it's not all solid wood - but _still_ sounds like a C.F. Martin guitar! Trading a drumset for one this weekend! Some Zylgians for a Martin, bittersweet but feels right. Excited to have a Martin to tote around guilt free.

Between these two specific guitars - Martin for me, although I think you could get a similar sound from Larrivee just by moving the mic a little bit to the left + some eq

Here it seems they are quite similar, where the Eastman has more low end. But i have played both. And in real live the Eastman came not even near to the Gibson. Both, from playability and sound. I wish it wasn`t. The compression and clarity of the Gibson got me. It is so much fuller. But I also play much harder then this guy here. My guitar has to withstand and be able to do more. Now, i try to trade all my stuff to get one. But the seller warned me that Gibson has hughe quality differences in models.

I had this quitar for few days, don't buy it. Made by the same cnc machines and Chinese hands as many others, strings are relatively high fingerboard and it's adjustment won't change a lot, after a while I got cheaper cort cec7: it's simply better.

Just goes to show that a Taylor ages wonderfully. The naysayers say "bright", but almost all guitars are out of the box. I hear gorgeous woody tones with tons of sweet sparkle in the high end. Brilliant playing. ♥

마틴GPC-28E 이 악기는 출고 될 때 픽업장치가 되어 있는 걸로 알고 있는데 아닌가요?

Hi! I recently bought HD28e after listening to a lot of reviews. I like the tone and resonance a lot, but when I play some notes using my thumb, it just dies out very untimely, almost sounds like a thump. It is prominent on E notes and other notes closer to it on the lower strings, like 7th fret on 5th string and 2nd fret on 3rd string.l, and even the 12th fret on the 6th string. What is it? Could it be fixed any way? I also have same problem with another guitar I own called Merida SPOMCES with solid cedar top, but it is mostly lower G notes and notes around it. I spent a fortune (for me at least) on HD28, but I am a bit disheartened with it. The problem is I got it through a friend in the USA here in another side of the world, and I can't go back to the store to check if it was only my guitar's issue. A luthier here told me about Merdia that it happend because of high resonance of the note and the top just dampens it. Could be the same with the HD28 too? 😢 I would appreciate your any thoughts about it.
